My philosophy of teaching is to cultivate and facilitate an environment of learning. I believe that education is a life-long learning process and every student has the potential to learn and grow. This learning process begins in the classroom with clear objectives and expectations, followed by facilitated tasks with a problem solving mindset. In the math classroom, I place learners in situations that push them to improvise solutions to problems, and then provide them with tools that can be used to get an evidence-based solution.

Learning is a process and a journey and teachers are the facilitators.

I use this same philosophy when I train and support my teachers. As an instructional coach, I believe that the center of a successful educational institution is a well-informed, respected, and supported faculty. It is within all those who pursue the path of education to want what is best for students, and given the right type of customized support and advocacy, will improve their curriculum rigor, incorporate a collaborative process, and highlight student outcomes. 

In addition to my classroom experience, spanning over 16 years, I’ve been fortunate enough to gain invaluable experiences in various administrative roles. Through my Education Leadership Masters, I completed over 400 internship hours at various Public and Independent Schools. I also shadowed and worked alongside school leaders on various administrative tasks that range from collecting and analyzing data to providing face-to face evaluation and support to faculty. Currently, I serve as the Math Department Chair at Wardlaw+Hartridge in Edison, NJ. I also direct the W+H Instructional Coaching (WHIC) program by guiding a team of experienced teachers to better support colleagues and new hires.  

My team and I are eager to use our knowledge and expertise to help all educators and we are dedicated to serving and supporting faculty everywhere!
